On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Blossom & Credit Law Firm, Mr. LI Yinwu, Managing Partner of Blossom & Credit and Founding Partner of Credit Attorney Service Team (Xinlvbang), extends his message to the opening forum of Blossom & Credit Shanghai Branch.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of Bright Blossom & Credit Law Firm's establishment, as well as the 20th anniversary of Xinlvbang. At the same time, as the first employee of Xinlvbang, it's a moment of commemoration for me as I took my first step into the legal profession two decades ago.


Established in 2003, during a period of significant growth in the attorney industry, the attorney of Blossom & Credit embraced that vibrant era with enthusiasm. Building on the founding team's background in corporate securities law, Blossom & Credit has been focusing on commercial legal services related to corporate and securities law right from the beginning. Over the past two decades, we've handled thousands of cases, including corporate restructuring for listing, securities issuance, mergers and acquisitions, investment financing, and corporate bankruptcy liquidation. Over the course of two decades, we have consistently maintained our primary focus on commercial legal services. Simultaneously, with the impetus of meeting the growing legal service demands of clients, we have gradually transitioned into a more comprehensive business model. Today, our business service  fields span a wide array of legal domains, including major commercial litigation and arbitration, intellectual property, finance and insurance, credit management, legal consultancy, private equity, construction engineering, international business, healthcare, criminal defense, family law, and wealth management. It can be said that Blossom & Credit has largely achieved a comprehensive business diversification with commercial legal services as its core.

 

If we consider the past two decades as Blossom & Credit's 1.0 era, then starting this year, we will enter the new era of Blossom & Credit 2.0. After experiencing the rapid development of the attorney industry over the past 10 years, we have come to a profound understanding: only by breaking from tradition can we secure the future; only by starting from our clients' needs, continuously enhancing our expertise, and consistently breaking through and innovating our services and operational models, can we ultimately create greater value for our clients. This is the fundamental path to our significant progress and sustainable growth. The new era of Blossom & Credit encompasses not only a brand-new VI system but also a development vision and cultural values that embody the wisdom of Blossom & Credit's attorney:

· To establish a new "Four Transformations" (marketization, specialization, digitization, integration) shared legal service platform;

· To create a platform for the professional development and entrepreneurship of young attorneys;

First and foremost, Blossom & Credit is dedicated to becoming a leading practitioner in one-stop commercial legal services. The foundation of our one-stop commercial legal service lies in closely aligning legal service productization with client needs. Many of the clients present here today have benefited from Blossom & Credit's legal service productization. In 2003, we introduced the Corporate Credit Security Solution and established the industry's first Credit Management Legal Service Team. This service encompasses the entire process of proactive prevention, mid-process monitoring, and post-event disposal of credit management, annually assisting companies in resolving difficult debt issues worth hundreds of millions of yuan. In 2017, we productized traditional legal advisory services and formed a dedicated Legal Advisory Service Team, bringing together attorney resources from various specialized fields within and outside the firm. This effort created legal advisory service products that understand industries, businesses, are practical, and can provide effective oversight. By the end of 2022, we had served over 300 advisory units, achieving a customer satisfaction rate of over 95%. In 2021, leveraging the introduction of central enterprise compliance annual inspections and compliance management regulations, we launched corporate compliance legal service products. Today's compliance-themed forum is a showcase of our achievements in legal service productization. In 2023, on the occasion of Blossom & Credit's 20th anniversary, building upon our existing strengths in capital markets, investment and mergers, private equity funds, commercial litigation and arbitration, credit management, and legal advisory, we are set to introduce new legal service products, including Blossom & Credit's platform-based labor law legal service, internet-related copyright legal service, intellectual property strategy planning product, family law and wealth management legal service, construction engineering legal service, forced execution legal service, cross-border trade and international legal service, and more. In summary, the productization of legal services will undoubtedly bridge the theory and practice of law with the demands of enterprises. Blossom & Credit's legal service products will provide steadfast support for the high-quality development of enterprises of different types, stages, and scales.

 

In today's attorney industry, many law firms are seeking breakthroughs in scaling up. However, to truly achieve economies of scale, it's essential to comprehensively enhance the operational and management levels of law firms. Blossom & Credit will leverage the consulting team of Xinlvbang to establish a unified Marketing Department based on the law firm's platform. This department will coordinate and categorize personnel, resources, and performance across all professional departments, assisting the business units in productizing legal service offerings. These offerings will then be promoted to the market through various channels by specialized professionals. This operational model not only addresses the relatively weak collaboration of specialized functions in comprehensive law firms but also tackles the issue of attorneys' limited market expansion capabilities after specialization. Moreover, the law firm will attract experts in various fields of business management and leverage outstanding external third-party professionals to empower the attorney team in platform operation, brand building, marketing, human resources, performance assessment, risk management, knowledge management, and customer service.

 

In response to this, we will strengthen the integration of our main and branch offices, a challenge and pain point in the process of law firm integration. However, Blossom & Credit possesses the inherent genetic makeup for integration. In the new era of Blossom & Credit, we will utilize direct investment from the headquarters to complete the establishment of branch offices in key provincial capital cities within two to three years. We will focus on developing branch offices in the Yangtze River Delta and Greater Bay Area regions, and we will consider Hong Kong as a gateway for overseas expansion. Since the beginning of this year, building upon our existing branches in Jinan, Haikou, Nanning, and Zhengzhou, we have expanded our presence to key cities such as Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Tianjin, and Hefei. By the end of this year, we will establish branches in Shenzhen, Nanjing, Wuhan, Shenyang, Suzhou, and other cities. Establishing over ten new branches within a year is a remarkable feat in the attorney industry. In the Blossom & Credit 2.0 era, we will center around our headquarters and fully leverage the expertise and regional advantages of our various branches. We will establish a scientifically designed and effective mechanism for collaboration between the headquarters and branch offices, achieving the integrated development goal of coordinating national resources and business operations.

 

To achieve the goal of becoming a leading practitioner in one-stop commercial legal services, talent is the key. The law firm will create all favorable conditions to attract young attorneys and teams with strong professional abilities and a willingness for team development. Young people represent the future of the law firm, and the law firm should be their spiritual home and entrepreneurial platform. We should encourage young attorneys to work hard, study diligently, and become experts in their field. We should support young attorneys in their promotion to partnership, in forming teams, and in taking on management positions within the bar association and the law firm. We should expand the scale of support funds to alleviate concerns and difficulties for more young individuals.

 

Not only should we provide professional services to our clients, but we should also undertake corresponding social responsibilities. The law firm should allocate specific budgets to initiatives such as educational assistance, legal aid, and philanthropy, among others. Using party building to promote the development of the firm, party building is not only essential for effective branding but also serves as an ideological foundation for unity. We should allocate dedicated budgets, assign responsible individuals, achieve tangible results, and strive to become attorneys who are both satisfying to the Party and the people.
